Short notice, but...
This Saturday at The Warehouse in Oakland (4th and Webster) there is an A's charity poker game, $35 buy in, to benefit Oakland HS sports.
Game begins at 11AM.
I'm not sure on the prizes, but the rumor I heard from the bartender was that the grand prize was akin to a all-expense weekend in Tahoe.
Guests, that I've heard mentioned from the radio broadcast include host Ken Korach from the A's radio broadcast, Ray Fosse from both radio and TV broadcasts for the A's, and some guy named Johnny Chan. I've never heard the name, but apparently he plays poker in Vegas at least once a year.
All you need to do to sign up is go down there to their bulletin board (the cork one at the far end of the bar) and put down your name and number. They'll put up as many tables as they need to and can to fit everyone who wants to play. I don't know if they'll do it day of game though.
